I dare you
to be with you.

I dare you
to draw your love
into your fingertips
and paint your collarbones
to your heels
with some permanent
heavenly
invisible ink.

I dare you
to spin down hallways
catching your eye
in the mirror on the wall
and watch how the room
rejoices
as your radiance
ricochets into every corner.

I dare you
to walk into every space
as if God is there
waiting to receive you
with open arms.

And when you have
to “rejoin the world”
throw a wink
(and maybe a little shimmy)
back into the emptiness
knowing how much
its enjoyed its time with you.
